It's crazy to think about this writing journey of the past few years. I started the first Space Drifters book, The Emerald Enigma, back in late 2010. I spent a couple years writing, editing, and finally submitting to agents and publishers. There were dozens of rejections that hit me with the force of a blade to the heart until I rationalized that they didn't understand my particular brand of genius. Finally, there was the glorious day when I finally broke through and signed a contract with Enclave Publishing for a three book deal.
After several rounds of editing, witnessing the beauty of a professionally designed book cover, and the launch of Space Drifters: The Emerald Enigma in 2015, I took my first steps into the world of traditional publishing.
It's been an amazing honor to write 3 books in this series and I've enjoyed every step of the way. Although, I must admit that deadlines make me cranky. I don't think I'll ever quite adjust to a fixed date where my book has to be done. It just rubs me the wrong way. But hey, that's part of the business, right?
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of you who have bought my books, posted reviews, and connected with me on social media. Every time someone tells me they've been transported with a sense of adventure, laughed aloud at the comedy or just plain enjoyed the tale of a gung-ho space captain and his quirky crew, something deep within me does back flips and it makes all the late nights worthwhile. It's been amazing to share this journey with all of you. THANK YOU!!!
